2011 First Time

Pinot Noir

The 2011 pinots were a lesson in patience. Gorgeous in barrel, they shut down when bottled and got cranky (as pinots will do). Like good parents we simply put them in “time out” until they decided to be civil. Like the 2007’s they will age and improve over a great deal of time.

2015 Update: Wow. Aromatics have returned with a tour-de-force! Racy, electric - a total young Burgundy impostor.

2017 Update. Yum, oh, yum. For the Burgundy lovers out there, look no further. Blazing acidity, unbelievable brilliant aromatics leap from the glass. Dark-spiced flavors of clove, sage, cinnamon nestle with strawberry/cassis notes. Vibrant. I won’t live long enough to outlast this wine.

2019 Update: See 2017 - just getting better. Stunning.
